My body of forms are trying to achieve a contemplative sensibility by examining volume and scale, with the work's sense of solidity and quiet. I balance the proportion and the outline of the pieces by juxtaposing flat hard edges against rounder softer surfaces.  I often add handmade inclusions which imbue a sense of permanence to the work and finish the pieces by polishing the surfaces.   I have recently started to use inlay as a method to further enhance the geometrical aspect of the work, creating tension between the clarity of the form and the finish of the piece.
